New At Analog Dog

While reading my favorite blog ~ A Passion For Virtual Fashion ~ I see Harper in a new hair from Analog Dog that I fall in love with. They say a great model will wear clothes that you want to go buy & Harper always does just that for me. So off I go to get my very own Susanna hair!

I love Queue Marlowe's hair styles & have many of them. Another of my favorites is "Harper", go figure!

You can wear Susanna with the long strands of hair coming down the left front or without the additional prim, so it will be versatile too. I am wearing it in my signature AD color, cinnamon, but there are 10 colors included in the Darks package. Susanna will cost you 300L, very worth every linden!

*Latte* Revisited

One of my favorite boutiques, *Latte* has moved to the sky I went to see the new shop and discovered a larger shop with a great loft that houses the group gifts.

There are new items in the shop & a new group gift. As usual, the dress is great! I love the rose at the neckline!

While I was there I also picked up the New Year gift I must have missed before. A nice little black dress that was probably very festive for New Year's Eve parties but I believe it's a fab-o dress to have because you can dress it down too by removing the bow & gloves.

It's a Model Life

I'm not sure what they are teaching in modelling school these days but both of these avis had extensive experience listed in their profiles. They did not go to the same school or I could blame it all on one school. They did not show the same experiences, so no, not that either. I just blame it on stupidity. Plain & simple.

Ladies, just zoom in on your avi before you go out. If you can't get close enough, try Ctrl 0 to zoom in & Ctrl 9 to back you out when done. Just please, please look. Look up & down. Look all around. Just LOOK!

Seriously, tuck those boobs away before going shopping. I don't believe anyone in that shop wanted to see your bare boobs. I believe she left the system piece off which maybe looked like a tank type top, can't be positive though. And if that outfit was bought like that she could have added one of Jane's tank tops to the outfit......31 colors, always free!

Next...those eyelashes! Seriously! What are those, spiders on your eyes? Badly clumping mascara? I know there are MANY shops that make wonderful realistic looking eyelashes for daily wear that look fabulous! Those lashes might be great for a runway show but keep them on the runway! Even I have a few pair of fantasy eyelashes but you will not catch me out shopping with them on!

Beware, I am always camming & I will catch you looking stupid!

Sometimes I have to blog about things near to my heart's feelings. This is a campaign that needs to be shared.

On November 4, 2008 Proposition 8 passed in California, amending the state Constitution to ban same-sex marriage.

This was a short time after the public voted to ALLOW same sex marriages! Many people married, people who shared their lived for years, people who loved very much, families were joined. Only to have this torn apart.

Celebrity photographer, Adam Bouska and his partner Jeff Parshley began a silent campaign in protest. To this date there have been over 8000 photographs taken in protest. There are now shoots staged all around the US! And people are photographing themselves in their silent protests.

We have a NOH8 campaign here in Second Life also. YOU can show your support but sending a photo of yourself or with friends and have it displayed at the gallery!

Speaking of Fashion ~ Or SL Messes Up

Our sweet Eddie apparently wanted to start the new year with his own version. I'm sure he was wearing blue jeans (cuz I dress his avi a lot), but to everyone he was back in the 70's with his own version of pants. Or were they MC Hammer's pants?

 Here's a photo of him dancing with us a Muddy's. He gave us all a great laugh!

Colors, Colors, Colors

At Nicky Ree! This little 2 piece outfit is available in 10 colors so there has to be one you'll like. As with all of her designs, it is hand drawn & beautiful! It also has 3 skirt options, the one I am wearing with my navel covered, another skirt option with a little navel exposed & the ultra mini prim attachment with full navel exposure for those hot summer days!

*Courtisane* Boots

The creative minds of 2 great SL designers, LeeZu Baxter and Enktan Gully,  have a shoe shop that has some wonderful shoes. For those of you that have never been there these shoes are 100% hand made & are amazing. LeeZu's textures on clothes have always been amazing & the textures on the shoes will not let you down.

They have a boot called "Marie Lu" which is a fun collectible! There are 14 colors to collect, the orange is available in the store now for a mere 250L, a price you can't resist! You can get the violet if you join the *Courtisane* in world group.
The Brown ones are a steal at 1L at Enky's Dollar$tore. You will find them on the showcase tables at the center of the Clothes/Accessories room.

These boots are really cool & highly detailed, and these photos do not do them justice at all! The boots have different details on each boot. I just love them!

By the way, my new wall is a group gift from SecondSnaps. Ava Rage is very kind & generous to those of us in her group & her photo studio is inexpensive & VERY easy to use! I think every SL photographer should try it, you'll be sold! You will see a lot of the new studio in this blog in the future!

WTF Catch ups

Yes, I still photo the WTF moments I see but I have been very  lackadaisical about posting them. I thought I'd combine some of those moments into 1 post to get caught up.

Yes, I reserve the right to my opinion of what looks funny, hilarious, nasty, bad, whatever I don't like. And believe me, I have a partner in crime who points out things I may not see when we are together (hmmmm I will tell you it is a subject of mine in the Queendom!), so I am not alone. I will not apologize for my opinion, so if you do not want photoed, dress appropriately when I am near you :-D

So without further ado, here goes:

Rapuntzel, Rapuntzel, let down your hair.......seriously? I wonder how long it takes to wash & blow dry this mess.  The ends must get real dirty as it drags on the ground. And, if this is you, size it down a few notches so it at least fits your head!

Nice bathing suit.....but we are not swimming, we are SHOPPING!~ Seriously? Throw on a pair of jeans at the least. 'Nuff said.

I waited for a long time to see if a top was going to rez on this avi, it never did. I am not a prude but I do not want to see your boobs while I am out shopping! Put on a top!

New Year's Eve.....not liking this at all. Nothing fits, nothing about this looks good. When she dances, I'm sure she has to keep pulling that piece of fabric out of her ass. I just don't like. And I don't recall a top on, but I don't really remember.
 The DJ behind her is really well dressed though ;-)

I'm sure this is some sort of role playing & this avi is fashionable in her realm but she isn't in mine!  And in a skin shop when only 8 pixels of skin show, really? That is all I am saying.

I hope everyone gets a laugh out of my WTF moments & I hope none of my friends ever makes me write a WTF post about them!

Honey*Soul Sale thru 1/10/2011

I came upon a nice shop that is having a really great sale that I wanted to share with you. Any shop that has a cute pug to greet me is wonderful in my book and this little puggy is adorable!

First there is a 40L Gotcha machine with nice, winter scarfs. Since the Realm is still snow covered, I wear a scarf daily & need them in every color! I'm not much for Gotcha machines, but I liked this one & got a couple of scarfs for my collection.

There is a nice blend of summer & winter clothes in this shop and, until Jan 10, everything is 39L! What a deal!

I was looking for something to go with my new boots ~ which will come in another post ~ so I chose this warm, knit sweater dress. At 39L, I bought a couple colors!

Hair Today ~ Gone?

This hair was sent out in the suscribe-o but none of my girls were subscribed, so I found it this morning while going through Gavin's things & tp'ed in to find it under the tree along with another hair gift.

The Nikki is really fun with all the confetti flowing through it. Looks just like you are in Time's Square for the New Year's Eve celebrations! I know I'll wear this for parties & next NYE!  Nikki is also a style available without the trimmings & in many colors.

The photo does not do the Artemis justice. It's very angelic with white sparkles flowing all around it & a halo over the top. A nice holiday hair!

I'm not sure how long wither of these will be there, so hurry if you want them! They are gifts.

Contemplating 2011

The Dressing Room & Dressing Room Blue have always been favorite shops of mine. I can't wait for each new rotation to start. Some of my best finds have been here. Both rooms consist of items from different designers and a guest designer each month. Nothing is over 70L, so always great for my blogger budget!

 Both rooms have some really great items right now, so check it out!

Cashmere Anyone?

The cold brings all sorts of new ways to dress to keep warm. The days can vary in temperature & vary the way we dress. Some days we need to bundle up tightly, some days a nice sweater & scarf will keep you warm enough. Today is a sweater & scarf day where I live.

I have teamed another of the Rockberry Christmas gift sweaters with a wonderful scarf I found at Mr.Poet. The scarf is a free gift & on my list of the most wonderful items I have found in Second Life. The texture looks like a fine cashmere and has 10 colors to match with almost anything you choose to wear it with. It also is completely sizable to fit all avis.

Week 9 ~ Silver

We are in week 9 of Lana Jubliee's 52 Weeks of Color Challenge and my intentions for the first 8 weeks were good, but not good enough. My resolution for this blog is to complete her challenge using the items I have in my inventory & not purchasing anything. I should be able to accomplish this between the avis I have & their massive inventories! One of us can come through!
