Another WTF?

Apparently asses abound here in SL. It's getting very cold in Kansas and I am sure she'd freeze that thing off if she wore that down to the Power & Light District!

I didn't even get a chance to see her front, but I can only imagine!

Buy some decent jeans woman!!!

Happy Holly-Days Hunt~Stop 1

While hanging out earning gold, buying acres & playing all things Tiny Empires, Stormy decided to explore the grid. Seems the first stop was at a favorite place for great priced skins & hunts that are easy to find. Kira Paderborn doesn't like hunting & places her hunt items, in the case, at the entrance to the store. Easy Peasy!

Style By Kira is the first stop on the Happy Holly-Days Hunt (Nov 21 thru Dec 5) and she offers this cute little outfit that includes the necklace & bangles. Perfect for clubbing all year round!

Pretty Poppy

I saw this dress on the SLEX and the CITY blog & HAD to have it! It's one of the prettiest dresses I have seen in a while and I know it will become a favorite in my closet! The texturing is great, it looks like a soft linen blend and I love the colors! The dress actually comes in other prints/colors if this one doesn't do it for you. It sells for 200L.

The Secret Store is a new one to me and I found a few nice items there that I bought. There are some freebies ion the back corner too. You'll find a lucky board by the door where you land. They are participating in a couple of hunts also.

This poor girl just has a fitting problem.....or something, not sure. I want to take her to a room & get some decent clothes on her. Does she run around like that in real life? What would her parents say? Is she just advertising? If you look closely, she does trim a landing strip! LOL!

More "WTF Moments"

Shopping & hunting has brought me more WTF moments in SL that I ever dreamed imaginable! Almost daily, when hunting, I am accosted by boobs or asses in my line of vision by poorly outfitted avis! Mind you, I am not a prude, I just like a good looking, well put together avi. I'm not afraid to take a photo of you & post you here for all to laugh at if you run around the grid looking crazy. And yes, you looking crazy is my opinion and since it's my blog, off we go.....

This chick would not stand still, but you get the drift. Let me tell you how to fix this. Go to Change Appearance & dial them boobs back off 100. Try 75, maybe you will still have the big boobs you think all the men on the grid want, but they may not extend over your arms. Then try 50, I always start at 50 when I am adjusting, then go up or down from there. It's always a great starting point, trust me. Please do the same for the buoyancy of those balloons! Back it down! NO boobs that are that big sit that high on any one's body. After carrying those boobs around for a while, you are going to need back surgery!

Check your avi's, don't be my next WTF Moment!

Chantkare~Friday Only

WOW! That is all I can think when I see this dress! I totally love it! This is something I would wear in my real life, with this look, opaque tights & flat boots.

I love the texture of this dress, it looks like a fine silk or a silk blend. The neck scarf falls beautifully as it drapes over the shoulders. The colors are perfect for any time, any where. A very classic look.

It is available, only today, for 50L. Quite the bargain from Chantkare  who is generally a pricey shop with high quality goods worth every linden. This dress is only available at the Euphoria shop.

Free Challenge

I had Stormy on today while she was buying some Tiny Empire acres. She received a note for a free sweater, so I thought I'd send her to grab it.

The sweater exposed a bit more that I am comfortable with so I thought I'd find her a camisole to wear under the sweater. I remember Jane has free packs of camis in all kinds of colors! Jane also has a 4 pack of scarfs, these will make a nice accessory, and they are also free.

Then I decided her pants didn't match, so could I find her a free pair that I liked? Ohhhh Coco has those real nice leggings, I'll drag her there to pick up those!

This has now become a challenge to see if I can outfit her for free or under the 24L she has on her!

I figure I can find a lot of what I need at Fab Free Headquarters, so I head for the Car Was sim. I found lots there & decided I'd use the hair that I got from Philotic Energy. It's short & smart & looks good.

Now for shoes, I hard to one of the most inexpensive shoe places I know, Chuculet. Yayy, I find a pair of boots that almost match the colors! And for only 5L! Good deal!

With the short hair I think I need earrings. I head to my other freebie spot, Y-Duck Lovely Free & pick up a pair of earrings from WDB, My outfit is complete!

Pure Poison~Reloaded

Today only, Pure poison has outfits for 10L.....that's right 10L!! There are an assortment of outfits to please any tastes and nicely made. I did have to mess with the prims a bit on Stormy's top, but overall the quality is nice.

Sports Fan, Listen up!

There's a new kid in town & he ain't playing around!!! Red Dog Gear~remember this name, you're gonna need it someday!

I recently found a new (to me anyway) sports shop and had to check it out. Y'all know how much I love my sports~well football, Nascar & hockey for sure!!

I found this shop to be a really great place to find everything you need to be the biggest fan in SL! Nascar shirts, NFL apparel (jerseys, pajama sets, knit beanie hats, throwback jerseys, polo shirts, knit beanie caps), College football apparel, NBA jerseys, Hockey jerseys (NHL & International teems & NHL throwbacks, and jammies), MLB World Series 2010 Champs Giants T-shirts, MLB jerseys, they have it all! And if that is not enough, they will customize any jersey with names & numbers you like. As you can see, I had my Chiefs jersey customized with my most favorite player, Joe Montana!






Ruff Zepp is probably one of the best shop owners I have ever met. Courteous, but not overbearing he is there to help you with anything you want. He is always open to suggestions for items to make his shop even better. If there is a jersey you want, that he does not have, he is happy to make it for you. Your happiness is his goal.

Free Hair For The Guys

Our Queen passed me a LM for a hair shop she likes. It was to Uncleweb Studios. I had never been there so I tp'ed in to see what the fuss was all about. I found some very nice styles at very good prices. At the service counter, I found 2 nice styles for the girls & the same for the guys~for free. I had to send Gavin for his free hair!!

The first is Roy and comes with brown & black in the pack.

Then comes Reed. This pack is only black but the color has a lot of highlights in it.

Both styles look very natural & lifelike. I'm sure you'll love them!

Project Themeory~Adjunct

On my weekly list for Project Themeory there were a nice pair of boots offered by Adjunct, in many colors, for 75L. I figured I Braden could always use a new pair of boots, so I tp'ed him in to grab a pair.

They are available in 6 colors: Grey, Tv Blue, Black, Brown, Burnt Umber, Camel. There is a special 7th color, red. But this color is only available to those who buy all 6 colors. These boots have a moccasin feel to them with the wrap around leather they are made from. Braden says they are comfy.

I think these could be unisex as they can be resized as needed.

Seriously......

Occasionally I read a blog called  What The Fug? .  It's hilarious at times and also has some good tutorials.

Two In Green

There are lots of sweaters for the gals & guys out now. I love sweaters!, I love well made sweaters! I love free sweaters that are well made! Enough said!

Song & Braden had fun getting their matching sweaters & posing for the blog today.

First sweater is a in the "For The Love of......" Fall Hunt and is the gift at Acid & Mala Creations. The prize is on top of the flat screen at the entrance & in it you will find both male & female sweaters.

Next up is a green cable knit & matching scarf for these windy days ahead. You'll find it as a freebie at sf Design. Both male & female boards are very close to the landing spot.

Went To The Show~Got the Shirt

As some of you know, I love live music! Always have, always will! To me, SL is a great way for me to go to live shows without leaving my house and spending a small fortune!

The last concert I went to~Roger Waters-The Wall~ cost me $100 for the ticket, $10 to park, probably $7 in gas, $40 for a t-shirt, $25 for dinner before the show & around $40 for cocktails at the show...Holy Cow!!!  Live show in SL, some Linden love for the artist, some Linden love for the venue.....average real cash...ohhh say $2.00. Big Difference!!!

Among the live artists I follow is a gifted artist named CraigLyons Writer. Seriously, you have to go to one of his shows. His voice is melodic & he always makes the audience feel like part of his big family. It's always a very warm & welcoming performance.

Craig lives in LA and has just released his 4th CD, On Reflection, which includes the greatest cover of the Beatles song "Across The Universe". I think when I first heard Craig perform that, I fell in love with his music. I have always been a huge fan of the Beatles.

I found one of my new favorite shops during a recent hunt & now find myself going back time and time with myself & all the alts! I am in love with the things Carrie Snowpaw creates. What a talented designer!!!

She participates in hunts and all of the great promotions such as Y-Duck, Low Letter of the Week, Steals & Deals, 60L Weekend and also has 8 lucky boards and 3 Slap & Dash boards. And if that isn't enough to bring you in, there is an entire wall of sale items for the week and a freebie! Oh yeah, did I forget to mention the 2 cabinets of freebies at the back corners of the shop?

Agnes Finney Dresses

I got a notecard from My Precious today & saw there was a pretty dress for 10L so tp'ed in & found a couple that I liked. Both 10L & you have to belong to the group to get that price. I think the white Paige dress is only today, so hurry if you like it.

Monday Mania

There are 20 shops participating in Monday Mania today, I stopped in Zenith Fashions to get this little jacket & sweater combo. Can you tell it's getting colder here? I'm buying lots of sweaters!

The prims on this are resizable & took a bit of adjusting, but once I got it done, I loved the look! The jacket can be worn alone or with the sweater. The sweater can't be worn alone but I believe I saw the sweater for sale at a separate display. Lux~Red is 50L & will only last until 11:59PM SLT.

Zenith Fashions has lots of nice things for gals & guys. There are 2 lucky boards & some gifts for group members. I'll go back for more cute things for sure!
